A proposed county action

The Times-Republican reports that supervisors sought revised wording before taking formal action. The pause would give officials time to develop data-center rules for the county’s unincorporated areas.

County officials said they had not received communications about proposed projects in those areas. Discussions involving the City of Marshalltown and possible annexation are a separate process.

As of the report, the county proposal had not been adopted. The September 23 date is the planned vote, rather than an effective date already in force.
